The LYSC u19 boys "Revolution" played their best soccer of the summer and ended up winning the Rocklin Quarry Classic with 3 straight wins outscoring their opponents 12-1. The Revolution is a team that is made up of players primarily from Del Oro and Rocklin High School. This week was a very difficult week for the Rocklin boys as their assistant coach, Trevor Wildberger, died on Tuesday. Trevor was a former RHS player who was battling cancer. Trevor’s service was on Saturday morning at the same time as our first game so the team forfeited the 1st game so the Rocklin players could attend the service. Prior to the 2nd game a moment of silence held on the RHS varsity soccer field where Trevor had played. Needless to say it was a very emotional and difficult time for all involved.

8/15-16 The U9 Loomis Legends fight till the very end for the win in the 2015 Rocklin Quarry Classic.

8/8-9 The U12 Loomis Wolves are the 2015 Fair Oaks Cup Classic Champions.  They won all 4 games and allowed 0 goals the whole tournament.  The boys used a highly controlled oriented style of play to dominate time of possession and excellent fundamentals to secure the victories.  The final scores were 5-0 vs Roseville, 4-0 vs Anderson Comp, 3-0 vs Rocklin and 5-0 vs Fair Oaks.  More importantly, the team and coaching staff were acknowledged by the Director of the Tournament for their sportsmanship.  Congratulations to the Wolves and Coach Brant and Coach Carl.

8/2/15 Our U13 girls the Lightning had a successful weekend.  After finishing 2nd and 3rd in our previous two tournaments, we were finally able to come home with the big hardware this weekend in Santa Cruz.  After outscoring our opponents 5-0 in the first three games, we reached the championship game to face Orchard Valley who had outscored their opponents 7 to 1.  After being down 2-1 at the half, the girls were able battle back and tie the game with about 10 minutes left.  Three minutes later we scored again to take the lead and seal the deal 3-2.

8/2/15 U-15 boys The Crew took Second place in Juventus Champions (redwood city) 3 day Tournament. We faced some high ranking teams in group play and only allowed them to score one goal on us. For the semifinals match we faced Castro Valley Academy. CVA just took first place in NPL State Premier and was ranked 18th in state. We battled them hard and the game ended in a tie 0-0. Our boys ended up winning in a PK shootout to advance into the finals. In the finals we went down fast 3-0 because of a very quick striker. We made some adjustment but in the end fell short 4-2. We are extremely proud of the boys!
